Crime In The N.h.s.
EDM number 2004 in 1992-93, proposed by Glenda Jackson on 12/05/1993.
That this House, appalled at the cost to the National Health Service of spiralling crime as detailed in the recent report for the Department of Health by crime prevention consulting, and the failure of the Government to respond to calls for greater security measures in hospitals after attacks upon patients and staff, demands urgent implementation of crime prevention programmes throughout the National Health Service to save not only money, which would be better spent on patient care, but the lives and well-being of dedicated health service workers.
