That this House recalls that on 11th March the SNP honourable Members wrote to their councillors claiming that they had reached an undertaking in writing in return for voting with the Government on 8th March which secured the probability of six seats and alternates for Scotland on the Committee of the Regions; notes that at Scottish questions on Wednesday 5th May the Right honourable Member, the Secretary of State for Scotland, said that the Scottish National Party had failed to honour the agreement it offered the Government and therefore the Government regard themselves as under no obligation to it; and demands that the Scottish National Party, in the interests of maintaining the integrity of Scottish public life, now publish the full text of the agreement it offered the Government along with all letters between the SNP and the Tory Government.
