Commercial Whaling

That this House gives total support to the Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food in his determined approach to maintaining the moratorium on commercial whaling at the 45th meeting of the International Whaling Commission in Kyoto from 10th to 14th May; and further welcomes his interest in an Antarctic Whale Sanctuary, his stance on humane killing and scientific whaling and his intention to extend the involvements of the IWC to protect all small cetaceans.
