Kingswater Park

EDM number 1920 in 1992-93, proposed by Gerald Kaufman on 04/05/1993.

That this House, recalling with satisfaction the defeat of North West Water's attempt to destroy East Manchester's green lung with its plan for a business park at Kingswater Park, now warns local residents that, with the publication of Tameside Council's Unitary Development Plan, the battle to save Kingswater park may not yet be over; alerts all who care for this valued amenity to remain active and vigilant in its protection; and advises local residents, as a first, essential step, to make their views known in response to the Tameside UDP.

This motion has been signed by a total of 26 MPs.
