Mr Sean Connery And Violence Against Women

That this House expresses its profound disgust that Mr Sean Connery has again seen fit to repeat his offensive views on violence against women in the magazine Vanity Fair claiming that women are seeking 'the ultimate confrontation - they want a smack'; recalls that Mr Connery played a prominent part in the General Election campaign of April 1992 in the SNP interest; and insists that the Parliamentary Leader of the Scottish National Party disassociates herself and her party from the opinions of Mr Connery and uses the opportunity to assert the right of women to lead their lives free from male violence.
