Drugs Acting On The Skin
EDM number 1841 in 1992-93, proposed by Alan Meale on 22/04/1993.
That this House is deeply concerned over the potential damage to patient care which will almost certainly occur because of the inclusion of drugs acting on the skin in the selected list scheme; sees such an action as being extremely harmful to sufferers as it would not improve patient care, would cause hardship and inequality of care to less well off patients, would not re-route NHS finances saved back into dermatological services, would affect service levels to patients, and impair research and development into skin diseases in the United Kingdom; and call upon Her Majesty's Government to change its approach on this matter, which is stupid, badly thought out and uncaring.
