Arthritis Care
EDM number 1827 in 1992-93, proposed by Liz Lynne on 22/04/1993.
That this House shares the concern of Arthritis Care that there are a number of government initiatives designed to reduce government expenditure which are likely to have a detrimental effect on the lives of people suffering with arthritis; and calls upon the Government to review the proposed imposition of VAT on domestic fuel bills, the tightening-up of invalidity benefit qualifications, the stricter application of qualifications required in order to receive disability allowance, and the recent rise in prescription charges, and to undertake a comprehensive study into the true costs of living with a disability.
