Anti-Smuggling Units

EDM number 180 in 1992-93, proposed by Mike O'Brien on 04/06/1992.

That this House condemns the proposed halving of the number of Customs Officers engaged in anti-smuggling duties at Birmingham and Coventry airports; and calls upon the Home Office to intervene immediately to prevent the cutback and maintain current anti-smuggling safeguards against import of drugs, pornography and terrorism.
