European Communities (Amendment) Bill

That this House notes that the European Communities (Amendment) Bill consists of three clauses on one sheet of paper; recognises that Committee Stage debates have taken a number of days during the past year; acknowledges that each of the three major political parties supports approval of the Bill and ratification of the treaty; remembers the majority at second reading; anticipates an overwhelming majority at third reading; and thanks the Chairman for the impartial way in which proceedings have been conducted.
