The Moderator And The Museum Of Religion
EDM number 1772 in 1992-93, proposed by Norman Hogg on 15/04/1993.
That this House warmly congratulates the Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland, the Right Reverend Hugh Wylie, in drawing attention to the inadequacies of Glasgow's new Museum of Religion and in particular the errors, theological and historical, contained in the official guidebook; and calls upon Glasgow District Council to accept that errors and inadequacies do exist, to put these right without recourse to pompous rancour which reflects so badly on civic dignitaries and instead to act swiftly in the light of the Moderator's scholarly blandishments bearing in mind that to err is human.
