Conduct Of Scottish Labour Honourable Members

EDM number 1759 in 1992-93, proposed by Alex Salmond on 01/04/1993.

That this House calls upon the 43 Scottish Labour honourable Members who abstained on the key Budget vote on oil taxation changes on 22nd March to apologise to the Scottish people for their conduct; condemns their complacency, or complicity, in the face of the potential threat to as many as 10,000 oil jobs in Scotland; and demands an unequivocal assurance from them that they will not choose to sit on their hands again when vital Scottish interests are at stake.
