Student Hardship Allowances

That, mindful of the decision taken by the Government to restore 10 per cent. of student access funds during the summer of 1991 to mitigate the worst effects of the abolition of student hardship allowances, this House urges the Secretary of State to announce similar or improved measures before this year's summer vacation and to give urgent consideration to the restoration of student allowances in the cases of acute hardship.
