Conduct Of The Hon Member For Banff & Buchan

That this House expresses its dismay at the declaration of the honourable Member for Banff and Buchan that he 'will vote for the Tory Government again', following his party's support for the Government to appoint quangos to represent Scotland on the Committee of the Regions, in the debate on the European Communities (Amendment) Bill, on Monday 8th March; notes the disagreement amongst the National Executive of the SNP by those eleven members who do not share his passion to support Her Majesty's Government's insistence to deny the Scottish people their democratic right at the ballot box; and agrees that no meaningful discussions can take place with the SNP until they withdraw from their leader's recent declaration to vote again with the Tory Government.
