Secrecy About British Training Of Indonesian Soldiers
EDM number 1556 in 1992-93, proposed by Audrey Wise on 09/03/1993.
That this House deplores attendance of Indonesian armed forces personnel for developmental and technical training in British military establishments; is outraged by the Government's continuing refusal to suspend such training in view of Indonesia's appalling human rights record in East Timor; and is particularly outraged by the refusal of the Government to give any information to honourable Members about the numbers receiving such training on the grounds that all details of the training, including numbers, are confidential between Her Majesty's Government and the Government of Indonesia.
