Maidstone Health Authority;amdt. Line 1:

EDM number 149A1 in 1992-93, proposed by Andrew Rowe on 10/06/1992.

leave out from 'House' to end and add 'welcomes the decision by Maidstone Health Authority to give responsibility for vaccination of schoolchildren against Rubella to general practitioners; notes that in the review undertaken in May 1991 it was found that 90 per cent of all such vaccinations were already being performed by general practitioners; further notes that the decision to use school nurses on other duties was taken after full consultation and in agreement with the school nurse service; is reassured to learn that the change is being carefully monitored to ensure that vaccinations continue at the high levels hitherto achieved ; and reaffirms the well established principle of representative democracy which makes it appropriate for the citizens of Kent to approach directly their own honourable Member in Parliament who is likely to be better placed than honourable Members from elsewhere to ascertain the true facts behind any complaint of this nature.'.

This is a ammendment to 149.
