Stonehouse Hospital Casualty Department

That this House is appalled at the closure of Stonehouse Hospital casualty department and notes that this is the second time the department has been closed due to Lanarkshire Health Board's failure to employ the appropriate number of doctors to give medical cover at the hospital; accuses Lanarkshire Health Board of deliberately transferring acute services away from Stonehouse Hospital in preparation for its complete closure; and calls upon the management of the Lanarkshire Health Board to either reverse this disgraceful trend or resign their office.
