Armed Forces Pension Scheme

That this House recalls the special arrangements made by the Government to increase benefits to pre-1973 war widows; notes that beneficiaries of the armed forces pension scheme who were invalided from the service prior to 1973 do not benefit from the improvement made to that scheme introduced in 1973 in the same way that pre-1973 war widows did not benefit until recently; and therefore calls upon the Government to take immediate action to remedy this situation and to upgrade armed forces pensions payments to those former servicement who left the services prior to 1973, particularly those who were invalided from the services and suffered disability in the service of their country.
