Conduct Of The Hon. Member For Glasgow, Provan And Kilmarnock And Loudoun(no. 3)
EDM number 1427 in 1992-93, proposed by Raymond S Robertson on 18/02/1993.
That this House notes with concern the contradictory EDMs Nos.1413 and 1417 - signed by the honourable Members for Glasgow, Provan, and Kilmarnock and Loudoun, and asks how it is that two honourable members can sign one Motion which 'deplores the actions which forced the departure of Mr Alastair Campbell from his post as the Daily Mirror's political editor' and yet on the same day, sign another Motion which 'congratulates David Seymour on his appointment as MGN Group Associate Editor (Politics)'; and invites the Chairman of the Scottish Labour Parliamentary Party, the honourable Members for Glasgow, Provan, to end the confusion and make a statement on whether he does or does not regret the departure of Mr Alastair Campbell from the Daily Mirror and whether he does or does not welcome the appointment of his successor, Mr David Seymour.
This motion has been signed by a total of 2 MPs.
