Dismissals At Timex In Dundee

EDM number 1419 in 1992-93, proposed by Alex Salmond on 17/02/1993.

That this House deplores the actions of the Timex management in Dundee in first locking out and now dismissing 300 workers who have been pursuing legitimate industrial action; believes that the hardline management tactics of Mr Peter Hall are bringing this major company into substantial disrepute; and calls for a dignified end to this dispute based on a proper recognition of the rights of a workforce who have served this company well over many years in Dundee.

This motion has been signed by a total of 21 MPs.
