Lancashire And The Council Tax

That this House recognises that, whilst the increase in the notional amount that Lancashire County Council can spend in 1993-94 from Ãº882,385,000 to Ãº888,846.000 allows that county council to spend more on essential services, the poor and deprived will be most hit by the Ãº60 million the county council are still having to consider as cuts to keep within the capping limit; and further recognises as the Standard Spending Assessment for Lancashire has been reduced from Ãº866, 477,000 to Ãº865,629,000 the average 'E' band council tax will rise by an additional figure of about Ãº17, meaning once again people of Lancashire will lose out on service and pay a higher price due to Government policies.
