Dovelands Infant And Junior School, Leicester West

EDM number 1249 in 1992-93, proposed by Greville Janner on 26/01/1993.

That this House believes that school pupils are entitled to study in buildings that are safe, sanitary and comply with modern standards; condemns the disgraceful state of Dovelands Infant and Junior School, in the constituency of the honourable Member of Leicester West; and calls on the Leicestershire Education Authority to take immediate steps to replace the unsatisfactory, prefabricated and so-called temporary classrooms, to install indoor & adequate sanitary facilities, to replace the outdated and potentially dangerous heating, incorrectly described as a heating system, to rectify the dangerous flooring, to replace defective roofing and to build an adequate school for Dovelands children.

This motion has been signed by a total of 13 MPs.
