Un Resolutions On Palestine

EDM number 1216 in 1992-93, proposed by John Cummings on 21/01/1993.

That this House recognises that many UN Resolutions on the issue of Palestine remain unimplemented; that the recent bombing of Iraq highlights the double standards in the international treatment of Israel and Iraq; recognises that the Palestinian people look to the UN to uphold international law and ensure their legitimate human rights; and urges Her Majesty's Government to call for an end to the bombing of Iraq and to do all in its powers to press for the full implementation of UN resolutions which relate to the continued occupation of parts of Palestine, at the UN and at European Council meetings.
