Funding Of Higher Education

EDM number 1172 in 1992-93, proposed by Anne Campbell on 14/01/1993.

That this House believes that the increase in student numbers in higher education without a proportionate increase in funding has brought about a crisis in institutes of higher education, manifested in a lack of student accommodation forcing students to pay rents at exorbitant levels in the private sector, overcrowding on university campuses which affects services such as library provision, refreshment and recreational facilities as well as teaching facilities, lack of adequate access for disabled students and inadequate sports and recreation facilities.

This motion has been signed by a total of 92 MPs.
