Violence Against Women
EDM number 1124 in 1992-93, proposed by Malcolm Chisholm on 11/01/1993.
That this House congratulates Edinburgh District Council's Women's Committee on its Zero Tolerance Campaign which aims to increase awareness about the problem of violence against women and to change attitudes; believes that preventing such crimes of violence must be a priority for all levels of government along with better support services for victims and serious action against perpetrators; and calls on other local authorities and the Government to follow the example of the Zero Tolerance Campaign.
This motion has been signed by a total of 70 MPs.
