leave out from 'sites' to end and add 'such as Cripplegate Park, Worcester; notes that the Labour-controlled Worcester City Council is pursuing this scheme in the face of overwhelming local opposition from residents and retailers throughout the city and specifically in the St John's area; deplores the misleading claim by the city council; that this development is crucial to its expenditure plans for 1992-93; calls upon the council to acknowledge the land upon which the supermarket would be built was sold to the city by the Dean and Chapter of the Cathedral on the condition it was retained as a public park in perpetuity; notes that the proposed development would significantly add to the severe traffic congestion in this part of Worcester;regrets the removal of valuable sporting amenities from the west side of the river to a location to the north, almost inaccessible to many of those who currently use them; notes the lead established by Sainsbury's in declaring that they are not interested in occupying the proposed development; and calls upon other major food retailers to follow this lead.'.
