Conduct Of Honourable Member For Suffolk South
EDM number 763 in 1991-92, proposed by Max Madden on 26/02/1992.
That this House notes the honourable Member for Bradford West asked the honourable Member for Ealing, Acton early in February for a meeting to discuss the restoration of Hanover Square in Bradford; further notes the honourable Member for Bradford West was asked to contact the office of the honourable Member for Suffolk South; confirms his office asked for the request for a meeting to be submitted in writing; notes such a letter was submitted, dated 11th February; regrets that, despite numerous telephone calls from the honourable Member for Bradford West and his secretary, the honourable Member for Bradford West, to date, has not been told whether the request for a meeting has been agreed, still less have any provisional dates been offered; and agrees with English Heritage that if the restoration of Hanover Square is not completed, providing affordable homes for local families, it will represent a major setback to the conservation movement in the North.
