United Kingdom Quarantine Laws And The Ec

EDM number 696 in 1991-92, proposed by Terry Lewis on 18/02/1992.

That this House notes with alarm that the relaxation of Great Britain's highly successful quarantine laws are being seriously considered within the European Community; believes that vaccination is not a reasonable alternative; reaffirms its total opposition to any measures which will increase the risk of importing rabies from elsewhere in the world; and urges the Government to confirm that no changes in existing quarantine arrangements will be accepted.
