Victims Of The Ira

EDM number 685 in 1991-92, proposed by Peter Bottomley on 17/02/1992.

That this House recognises that those who die because of the criminal killing expeditions of the IRA are victims of the leaders and supporters of violence and that violence leads to the presence of more troops not fewer, fewer jobs not more and to fewer people acknowledging an Irish dimension; and calls for the disloyalist criminals to recognise that a difference in politics can never justify lawlessness similar to the crimes of the IRA.
