Abolition Of Nhs Prescription Charges

EDM number 671 in 1991-92, proposed by Dave Nellist on 13/02/1992.

That this House notes the Government has increased prescription charges from 20 pence in 1979 to ú3.40 and now plans to increase them to ú3.75; believes that good health and long life are assets which everyone should have, regardless of ability to pay; and therefore calls for the abolition of National Health Service prescription charges.

This motion has been signed by a total of 26 MPs.
