Post Office Workers Pensions
EDM number 646 in 1991-92, proposed by Peter Hain on 11/02/1992.
That this House condemns the suspension of employer contributions to the Post Office Staff Superannuation Fund which at 31st March 1991 was overfunded by ú1,442 million, saving the Post Office ú150 million per annum, whilst a claim for improved benefits to staff has not been progressed, so depriving ordinary Post Office workers of pension entitlements they have paid for as deferred wages.
