Homelessness Of Young People In Nottingham

That this House congratulates the Nottingham Hostels Liaison Group for its work on behalf of homeless people, in particular its publication of the excellent document It Makes You Sick, a report on health and homelessness amongst young people in Nottingham; notes the fact that the report clearly highlights the current harsh age-related benefit legislation which detrimentally affects young people under 25 years of age and which removes the majority of 16 and 17 year-olds from claiming benefits altogether; and calls upon Her Majesty's Government to meet this body so as to learn and act upon their obvious knowledge of the health and housing needs of young people.
