Education (Schools) Bill And The Conduct Of Labour Members
EDM number 574 in 1991-92, proposed by David Ashby on 28/01/1992.
That this House notes the fact that Labour Members spoke vehemently against Clause 16 of the Education (Schools) Bill, which makes provision for parents to be furnished with details of their children's schools performance, yet failed to vote against it; that Labour have consistently refused to support parental choice in education while their own front bench spokesman made use of such provisions; notes their distrust of parents; and urges them to clarify their position during the Report stage of the Bill.
This motion has been signed by a total of 7 MPs.
