Treatment Of Domestic Pets At Bath Royal United Hospital
EDM number 541 in 1991-92, proposed by Dawn Primarolo on 22/01/1992.
That this House is appalled at the announcement that domestic pets are to be treated in the Bath Royal United Hospital radiotherapy unit; notes with alarm the recent Press reports that the treatment of cancer patients in Britain is comparable with Third World treatment standards; demands to know why patients awaiting cancer treatment elsewhere in the country are not being referred to Bath; calls for an urgent investigation into the mechanism of the internal market and extra contractual referrals; and instructs the Secretary of State for Health immediately to investigate the current situation at the Bath Royal United Hospital and make an urgent statement to Parliament.
