Widgery Tribunal

That this House welcomes the Channel 4 broadcast of the documentary about the events of Sunday 30th January 1972 on the civil rights march, the rioting and the deaths; agrees with Bishop Edward Daly that people are basically fair; and believes that it would help if the Government could arrange a re-examination of the forensic evidence considered at the subsequent Widgery tribunal and for a review to establish if all the conclusions of the tribunal can be safety accepted today.
