Sunday Trading (No 5)

EDM number 519 in 1991-92, proposed by Harry Cohen on 21/01/1992.

That this House notes that the Chairman of Argyll plc has, through Safeway plc, been deeply involved in flagrant breaches of the law on Sunday trading; notes that Argyll plc are members and funders of the Shopping Hours Reform Council and major donors to Conservative Party funds; and considers that this vested interest stops the Conservatives upholding the rule of law against big business law-breakers.

This motion has been signed by a total of 28 MPs.
