That this House congratulates the authorities in France for upholding the rule of law and for their successful action against illegal Sunday opening by the Virgin Megastore in Paris; notes that Virgin plc and Mr Richard Branson are leading members and funders of the Shopping Hours Reform Council and major donors to Conservative Party funds; and calls upon Virgin plc and the Government to uphold the law in Britain and upon the Government to reform United Kingdom Sunday law in line with the vast majority of our European partners.
