That this House notes with pride the resolution, determination and self-sacrifice of 70 year old Mrs Iris Robbins of Ramsgate, sentenced to 14 days imprisonment in Holloway for refusing to pay ú195.87 poll tax out of her only income, her state pension; is grateful that she will not have to spend Christmas in prison; and salutes her courage.
