EDM number 290 in 1991-92, proposed by Audrey Wise on 27/11/1991.

That this House notes that neither the Attorney General nor the Home Office Minister explicitly and clearly condemned large scale flouting of the law by several large retailers who intend to trade on Sundays, nor did they call for the law to be obeyed, despite pressure from all sides of the House, on Wednesday 27th November; and therefore calls on the Government to remedy this omission and to cease turning a blind eye to illegality by large companies in search of unfair profits.
