Fair Employment Commission And Emblems

EDM number 267 in 1991-92, proposed by Peter Robinson on 26/11/1991.

That this House deplores the Fair Employment Commission in Northern Ireland seeking to outlaw the display of portraits of Her Majesty The Queen and the flying of the Union Flag in places of employment; recognises that many firms in Northern Ireland benefit from grants from Her Majesty's Exchequer and that Northern Ireland is an integral part of this United Kingdom and a full part of Her Majesty's realm; believes that affection and loyalty to Queen and country are attributes to be admired and encouraged rather than despised and punished; and calls on Her Majesty's Government to ensure no law, order, rule or regulation relating to fair employment permits such absurd and treacherous edicts to be imposed or enforced.

This motion has been signed by a total of 10 MPs.
