Plaques In The Palace Of Westminster
EDM number 265 in 1991-92, proposed by John Cummings on 26/11/1991.
That this House deplores the newly erected wall plaques indicating the sites of New Palace Yard and Commons Court which are manufactured from plastic and coloured brown; notes that they are totally out of character with the surrounding buildings and distract from the majesty and dignity of the Palace of Westminster; and calls upon those responsible to have these plaques removed and replaced with notices of a more fitting nature so as to enhance and not debase this most historical building.
This motion has been signed by a total of 11 MPs.
