Oil Delivery Failure

EDM number 221 in 1991-92, proposed by Jack Aspinwall on 20/11/1991.

That this House recognises the problems, particularly to the elderly and vulnerable, caused by the lack of heating; regrets that over 3,500 families are without heating oil due to the failure of Insection Ltd., Finsbury House, Dublin 4, Eire, to deliver oil to bulk tanks on 81 housing estates; and calls upon Her Majesty's Government to investigate the restraint of trade and lack of competition that occur when exclusive agreements and covenants are entered into.
