Rail Services From Sheffield To The Continent
EDM number 185 in 1991-92, proposed by Patrick Duffy on 18/11/1991.
That this House notes with concern that reports of British Rail's plans to link its regions with the Continent after the Channel Tunnel opens make no mention of Sheffield, nor any apparent intention to provide specifically for Sheffield; and calls upon British Rail to provide for the day trains from Edinburgh to Paris and Brussels to be joined by another at Doncaster from Sheffield, and for the Glagow night train to Paris and Brussels to be routed via Sheffield.
This motion has been signed by a total of 13 MPs.
