leave out from 'Council' to end and add 'without the casting vote of the chair, and subsequently endorsed by the whole county council; regrets that the home was allowed to fall into substandard condition through the neglect of the previous Lib/Lab regime on the Cambridgeshire County Council; welcomes the assurance obtained by the honourable Member for South West Cambridgeshire that no resident will be moved against their will, that the day centre will remain, and that all monies obtained from any disposal of Shortsands will be applied for the benefit of the elderly of St. Neots; notes that the honourable Member for South West Cambridgeshire has already met representatives of the committee in question and will be meeting others; and condemns honourable Members who interfere in the constituencies of others without ascertaining the facts and deeply regrets that Labour and Liberal party political antics have caused unnecessary distress and anxiety to elderly people.'.
