State Of The Scottish Raspberry Industry
EDM number 120 in 1991-92, proposed by Bill Walker on 11/11/1991.
That this House notes that the Scottish raspberry industry is on the verge of ruin because East European supplies have been reaching European Community markets at throwaway prices, that imports have virtually doubled following relaxation of import controls in recent years and that prices have fallen by up to 40 per cent.; and calls upon the Government, in conjunction with Community partners, to introduce measures which prevent dumping from Eastern Europe and which put cash into the hands of Scotland's raspberry growers.
This motion has been signed by a total of 10 MPs.
