Maidstone Borough Council
EDM number 103 in 1991-92, proposed by Andrew Rowe on 07/11/1991.
That this House, noting that Maidstone Borough Council's idea of a suitable way to entertain children as young as three or four years of age at a Guy Fawkes party for 5,000 people is to stage a video show sufficiently obscene to cause the police to intervene and impound the equipment, endorses the comments of the honourable Member for Maidstone that `the Council has offended public decency'; notes that the refunds now being offered to outraged subscribers will no doubt be added to a community charge already inflated by the folie de grandeur of the Council; and asks the voters of the United Kingdom to take due note of what happens when political control rests in the hands of a Liberal administration supported by the Labour Party.
This motion has been signed by a total of 12 MPs.
