That this House applauds the decision of the City of Edinburgh District Council to confer the Freedom of the City on the distinguished actor Sean Connery; believes this award honours his tremendous achievements as an ambassador for Edinburgh, recognises his long standing commitment to the education of young people in Scotland, and acknowledges his outstanding artistic contribution to motion pictures; and sends its best wishes for an equally successful future to Sean and Micheline Connery.
