The Football Association And The Football League
EDM number 927 in 1990-91, proposed by Tom Pendry on 06/06/1991.
That this House notes the results of a Gallup opinion survey which shows that seven out of 10 of all football supporters are opposed to the proposals for a Premier League; urges all of the football interests, including the governing bodies, clubs, players and supporters, to work together to achieve greater unity within the game so that it is better able to tackle the major problems identified in Lord Justice Taylor's report; and looks to the Football Association and the Football League to hold talks with no pre-conditions to plan a stable and confident future for the game.
