Victoria And Albert Museum Bangladesh Concert

That this House congratulates the Director and staff of the Victoria and Albert Museum on holding their concert by the world renowned sitar player Nishat Khan, held in the Raphael Cartoon Room, in support of the Bangladesh Cyclone Appeal; welcomes the concept developed by the Victoria and Albert Museum's Education Officer, Shirin Akbar, of cultural reparations using British museums stuffed full of the cultural heritage of the Third World for fund-raising for the purposes of Third World development; welcomes UNICEF's support for the appeal; and notes that,although the media has necessarily moved on,the suffering of the people of Bangladesh has not diminished.
