Tenth Anniversary Of The Closure Of Linwood Car Plant

That this House notes the 10th Anniversary of the closure of the Peugeot Talbot Plant at Linwood, Renfrewshire which once employed 9,500 people; congratulates the Renfrew District Council's tremendous efforts to bring back employment to the site despite central government's hostile attitude towards local government finance; and calls upon the Government to give more financial help to regenerate the Renfrewshire area.
