Chemical Industry Young Person Of The Year 1991

That this House offers its congratulations to mr Robert Smith of Hickson & Welsh, Castleford, on receiving the chemical industry's Young Person of the Year 1991 award; notes that Mr Smith, who had won the nominations for the North East Region, was the only finalist currently serving an apprenticeship, that this splendid young man was fortunate enough to serve an apprenticeship and that this achievement rewards the worth of such schemes; and offers Mr Smith and his company every good wish for the future, especially during the period when Mr Smith will tour the U.S.A. as an ambassador of his industry and this country.
